IC Blue Ltd was formed in 2003 to address a distinct gap in the electronic component market. Sourcing components in the electronics manufacturing industry is often complex, solutions need to be found to mitigate the effects of part obsolescence, shortages and periods of allocation. Software Division

In February 2016 IC Blue Ltd was appointed exclusive UK distribution and support rights for Mentor Graphics EDA (Engineering Design Automation) solutions. In 2018 with the acquisition of Mentor Graphics by Siemens Digital Software Industries, IC Blue became a Siemens Solution Partner for Electronic and Electrical design tools.

In 2019 IC Blue Ltd extended its software portfolio when it entered a partnership with Downstream Technologies to provide DFM (Design for Manufacturing) tools to the UK market.

Now providing a full suite of Electronic, Electrical and DFM software tools IC Blue LTD can provide everything the electronic manufacturing industry requires to Visualise, Optimise, Verify and Deliver complex product designs.

Excess Components Inventory Division

Formed alongside the Components distribution division, Excess Inventory Management has always been part of IC Blue Ltd's DNA. In 2016, during a major flooding event, 13 years of excess component inventory was lost meaning the whole division needed to be rebuilt. 

In 2020 it was decided to scale up the division with it own specialist management team, offices and AS9120 accredited warehousing. Since then the division has gone from strength to strength. 

If you have excess electronic components inventory which you are not currently using for your manufacturing needs, IC Blue Ltd can provide you with a simple, tailored and confidential service to cash in on these surplus assets..

Apprenticeship Scheme

IC Blue Ltd is an active member of the UK Government Apprenticeship Scheme giving young people an opportunity to develop life skills and career options as well as fully contribute to IC Blue's growth and development.

We currently have full-time apprentices working in business administration and logistics. 3 employees graduated from the apprentice program and now work in full time positions in Purchasing, Accounts and Sales Support Assistant.

Placement Year

IC Blue Ltd offers industrial placement years for Electronic Engineer undergraduates amongst other roles within this role the candidate will assist on project delivery and be involved with technical support for our software customers.
